Why do my car's fuses keep blowing?
Q - Why do my car's fuses keep blowing? so far, those for the courtesy light, instrument light, headlights, winkers and tail-lights have blown.A - check the bulbs. you may have fitted bulbs with the wrong voltages levels. some sockets have two contacts in the base because some bulbs have high-low filaments, and some sockets are not grounded.
With non-grounded lamp sockets,an additional wire or contact is used. If you attempt to use a single contac bulb in a two- contacts lamp socket, this causes an instant short to ground and this will blow the fuse. This usually happens as soon as you open the door.
